It is recommended that you periodically check your transmission fluid and filters for corrosion and contamination. When necessary, have the transmission fluid replaced. It is also recommended that you have your transmission serviced every 30,000 miles. This includes changing the transmission fluid and transmisison filter. The entire transmission including its internal components should be cleaned. The old corrosive transmission fluid should be removed and replaced with new fluid.
